Hi all, am just about to leave on my journey to Blackpool. The sleigh is sitting at the door and I have 'borrowed; some nice chaps who were passing by after a night on the tiles to pull it. I'm sure they will wake up soon. Jean, you will love my whip! It is the one that Jenni used on the doorman at Stringfellows when we had to leave quickly after Amanda and Doreen fell asleep under the table after eating my special cake from Amsterdam. That was the night that we entrusted it to Kathleen's care with forementioned consequences!Blushing

I just hope that Julie does wear the new dress: she cannot stop climbing when she wears the green floaty affair. Hope that she remembers appropriate underwear. Much as I was amused by the red spotted knickers that she had to borrow from you, they did spoil the effect on the rest of us with our smart outfits. I do hope that Suzanne behaves herself and does not find any holes to climb into! It was bad enough when we had Jenni trying to get to the Isle of Man by digging a tunnel on the beach last time we were in Blackpool. Must remember not to allow her to drink cherry brandy. RollEyes

Is Kathleen bringing that snake? Could we please not put it in my cake box as we did when on board Dr Who's aeroplane. The shock of finding it dancing to Mary and Doreen's rendition of 76 trombones was just too much for Amanda who promptly passed out! Blushing Not for one minute did I believe that it had anything to do with her medicinal crate of wine.Confused

Please can someone sensible ensure that Lyn does not have the scissors on her person? Actually, as I cannot think of anyone who would fit that description, I will just keep my knitted hat with the pig tails on at all times. It will not match my gold lame cat suit but there you are, I cannot take a chance of losing my golden locks again.Sad Please be to goodness that Lyn does not behave the way she did when we were at the winter olympics. That skier chap with the lovely pony tail was not at all happy with his hair cut! Remember I had to share a tent with her and he was hollering outside most of the night!Scared

My suggestion Jean is that we do not hold a demonstration on the prom this time. It was humiliating to be named in the court as a group of circus clowns who were begging for money. Blink

Anyway, my chaps are waking up and are going to be so thrilled when we arrive in Blackpool and they get to meet my pals. Must remember to take the key for the padlocks.BigGrin

See you all soon x

Well ladies, I have a bit of a problem - most of the roads round here are blocked due to snow, but I`ve managed to get a big sledge from the local Emergency Services : it`s a bit basic, but it does have a flashing blue light on the front. The huskies that are pulling it are wonderful - we had a practice run after lunch, and whenever I shouted "mush" they charged around at twice the speed of light, so I should be there in good time.

The snake gets on well with them, but if Lyn brandishes her scissors I won`t be answerable for his conduct. My gold lame dress is packed on the back of the sledge, on top of the whisky bottles.

If Jenni insists on bringing her spade, for heaven`s sake keep her off the beach - we had the devil of a job getting her out of that tunnel last time. And the coastguards were not amused when Jean stuck a thong on top of that sandcastle and made us all dance round it. I blame the drink.

I`m not sure what we`ll do if "The Big One" isn`t running - Julie would be so upset there`s no knowing what she`d do, with or without her red-spotted knickers. Why on earth does she not wear trousers when she insists on mountaineering?

We really have to get those scissors away from Lyn - Eleanor is getting an anxiety complex, and that skier is still suffering from flashbacks.

As long as we remember the drinks we`ll be OK. See you all tonight. Mush! Mush!!

I'll be coming on the broom stick, suitably decorated with christmas lights, far more sedate than flashing blue lights.

I see Kathleen's wearing the gold lame again.......so last year. RollEyes

I've found a nail gun Jean, but can only find two suspenders, you'll have to borrow one of Eleanor's.

See you at the Tower! LOL LOL

right sledge is revved and ready to go,

now you won't miss me on account as i've succumbed to a pair of Widders canary yellow long johns ... and i've been sewing sequins on to them all day, so i am looking rather fetching as they go perfectly with my sparkly purple frock and gold stilletoes.

i will be shining brighter than the illuminations as i've attached some rather fetching flashing lights to my Tiara which sits skew wifffffffy but does suit me i feel.

i've got the third suspender that Jean needs tucked up the inside of one leg along with a sixpence incase one goes ping BigGrin

yes i hope Rose will be there in her sparkly straw hat as long as she doesn't outshine me.

so see you soon girls and let's party woooooo hoooooooo here i come.

Well, I'm beginning to wonder whether we should have invited Suzanne. All that sparkle AND canary yellow long johns - not to mention the frock and stilletoes. I do have to admit it all sounds a bit tacky, though. I'm sure she'll give Doreen a run for her money - mind you, Doreen ALWAYS looks a tad tacky as we have noticed on numerous occasions.

Lyn is pouring brandy into bottles for the sled dogs to carry, so Lorna will be happy and drunk when she gets back home.

Let's hope there are no front page headlines in "The News of The World" tomorrow. It was quite disgraceful last time and my reputation was in tatters.

Evening Jean and Doreen

As its a bit nippy tonight I ve decided to wear my very best Damart long johns with a bit of black faux round the ankles to really set them off ( they haven t quite lost all their shape yet ) and set them off with my black leather boob tube as it could do with an airing after thirty years in the wardrobe, I always try to look as stylish as I can when I m amongst such other well dressed ladies.

I just can t wait to get going, as you can imagine.

Julia xx

Hi there,

Just charging down the M6 My sled dogs are drunk on Lyn's brandy. I'm soooo cold with this snow, should have left the fish nets at home. My hot pants are now cold pants and my tassels have fallen off in the snow, so anyone finding them remember if there gold with pink sparkles there mine !!!!!!!!! I have now succumbed to emptying my gin and tonic......... no need for ice I've plenty stored in my hair from all the snow falling. See you all soon hic hic hic LOL LOL

Eee bah gum, that was such a great night last night at the Tower! Suzanne`s canary yellow long-johns were so eye-catching, though I don`t know what possessed her to leave them wrapped round a lamp-post on the Golden Mile.

And poor, poor Eleanor! Why did no -one stop Lyn from chopping up her nice warm hat? She`s drawn to Eleanor with those scissors like a moth to a flame!

Of course, I knew Jean would lead the singing, but why on earth did she bring Bob`s tuba along? I thought we`d left that in the desert?

And as for Doreen, dancing penguins on her outfit!!I don`t know whether to blame the brandy or Eleanor`s special cake. Thankfully I only had one slice myself, it was a complete accident that one of my huskies ran off with Julia`s black faux she had round her ankles - they were just being playful. And of course, every time I shouted "mush" Eleanor`s dogs responded as well. It wasn`t their fault the Animal Rescue arrived and tried to make a Citizen`s Arrest. It was down to Julie, she can`t resist a man in uniform. Lorna was a bit sneaky though, giving her sled-dogs a different command - though I don`t think Scots Wha Hae was terribly appropriate.

I need to rest now, so much excitement - and to think this was just a practice run!! Bring on the Lapland trip!!

Hi ladies,

SORRY I was soo 'out of it' yesterday that I feel asleep at the bottom of the Tower.
Some kind person bought me drink and sandwiches and even a hot water bottle and
lovely corregated card board. Passed out and when I woke up realised that none
of you came to look for me - some friends.

Someone pick me up next time.! ! !

Well after a slow start to the day, I am actually able to se the screen. This was down to Doreen and those penguins. She didn't say that she had borrowed them from Edinburgh zoo and that they chased gold lame dresses! Thank goodness for my special cake and the pernod though it didn't last for long with Kathleen drinking it as if there was no tomorrow!

As for that snake! Well, I was mortified when sitting on the pier and the darned thing wrapped itself around my neck! However, it was almost worth the shame as Mary put her hat round and we got a healthy donation towards the fish and chips.

What are we going to do about Julie? This climbing is just out of control. It is no wonder that she was almost arrested for sitting on top of Coral Island throwing chips at policemen! If Gwenda hadn't been there with her super, dooper carriage she would be in Blackpool nick awaiting trial.

Then there is Lyn and those scissors. Poor Sophie innocently fell asleep under the pier and she woke up to a number one all over! As for my hat! Couldn't even lend it to Sophie as Lyn cut it up thinking it was my hair. Just got away in time before she had another go at mine! Whew!!!

Jean, you tied yourself up under the pier to escape Lyn and the scissors. Also, after your cake, you appeared to think that we were back in the desert when Suzanne appeared in her yellow widdies! Not for one moment did she look like a canary!

As for the person who 'borrowed' my chaps (Mary) I hope that you feel guilty at the thought of me walking through the snow to get home to Kent. Please do not keep them in the attic as there is no roof after the explosion last year when you , Doreen and Julie were practising for the pole dancing competition at Stringfellows.

I hate to mention this but Amanda is really out of control. Is Barbara back from India yet as we could do with her firmness where Amanda is concerned. How did she carry that amount of wine on her bicycle?

Looking forward to the next outing girls but will have to buy a balaclava for the occasion. Hope that they do them with sequins and feathers.

I thought I could remember Jean tying herself to the pier! As if one of us would do that to her!Scared
My memory is a little hazy even though I had nothing but lemonade to drink all night (someone had to remain responsibleCool ) but I do remember Rose crawling into her cardboard box after writing "Do Not Disturb" all over it.

Has anyone seen Julie M? The last time I saw her she was going round and round on The Big One because her tassels had got caught in the carriage!LOL LOL
She seemed to be enjoying it, waving at everyoneLOL

well girls,

i've finally surfaced to say what a FABULOUS time i had,

i remember seeing snakes, penguins, i think i saw Julia's boob tube flying through the air and landing on a Policeman's head, remember seeing Rose under the Pier with an empty bottle by her side too.

Kathleen was trying to bring some order to the occasion but i think she succumbed to the brandy bottle as i last remember her hanging onto the side of a lampost singing show me the way to go home.

Lorna's fishnets were last seen hanging off the end of the Pier, and Lyn was trying to be very nippy with those scissors but think we all survived in tact.

and as for Jean well i know the suspenders gave up the ghost as they couldn't cope with her boogying, infact i think i got one in the eye as i had to explain to him indoors about my black eye.

and i think i saw Doreen flying into the night sky on her broomstick so hope she made it safely home.

but i tell you what girls i wouldn't have missed it for the world and i made it home intact with my yellow long johns in one piece and not one sequin was missing.

ohhh what a night .. lol x

I haven`t seen hide nor hair of Julie since the wee small hours of Sunday morning, but Nick said something about a news item concerning someone trying to climb up the pier at Blackpool singing "Show me the way to go home." Sounds like Julie.

Well. we would have helped Rose but she made it perfectly clear that she wanted to be alone, so it seemed only right and proper to respect her wishes.

As for Doreen claiming to drink lemonade all night - absolute rubbish. She was trying to keep pace with Amanda, and that`s always a bad idea.

Did you get home OK Eleanor? I saw you trying to drag the Animal Rescue man along with you - which remeinds me, I should be a "cut" of any money you made using the snake. Fair`s fair, share and share alike.

I think Barbara might have disowned us - she found it hard keeping you all in check. As for Lyn - last I saw of her she was chasing Lorna down the road brandishing her scissors and shouting something about cutting off her lovely tam o` shanter.

And that Suzanne!! She fits in really well, doesn`t she? But we must try and stop her from falling too much under Julie`s influence, else the pair of them will be climbing everything in sight when we get to Lapland.

Going off to think of a new outfit now.
